Spring is here!

What did everyone think of the Bachelor last night? Surprised he picked Courtney? I sure wasn't. 

Surprised they've already broken up once? I sure wasn't.

Domineau threw an awesome Bachelor Finale party last night.

You might have seen some pictures on my instagram last night.

It was complete with Roses, chocolate and a special toast to Love.

 That girl knows how to throw a bachelor bash.

Switching gears, it's supposed to be 79 degrees today in DC. Heavenly.

Sounds like perfect tennis weather and food truck weather. Farragut Square anyone??

Monday Metro: Wax Museum.

Have you ever been to a wax museum? 

It's pretty crazy how real everything looks.

I went with my friend Kat to DC's wax museum last week for a free event.

I felt like the wax figurines were going to jump out at me at any second.

In DC's wax museum, they have a special presidential exhibit.

Abe Lincoln, the gang and I really hit it off.

Also-- the White House seemed to suite me well. 

(despite the horrible window glare in this picture... just think of it as my presidential halo.)

 

March 1st.

 I can't believe it's March already!

I always hear people talk about how March is a rough month.

There are no work holidays, it's usually not very warm, but there's also no snow.

Sometimes it rains a lot.

But I always like March.

And this year is no exception.

1. It's my birthday month! wahoo. Although getting older is starting to become less fun...

2. Spring (and summer and sunshine) are near!

3. Saint Patrick's day

4. Cherry Blossom's begin to bloom

5. The Hunger Games movie

6. Amber (and Chelsea) are coming to visit at the end of the month

7. Baby Barker is coming next month!

It's going to be a great month!

I haven't been a great blogger as of late. And I have no good excuses.

 I think my only excuse may be that I waste all my free time playing Scramble with Friends.

It's baddddd.

I'm thinking that only a leap year miracle will get me stop playing.

What have I been up to lately?

1. Shopping. Aren't those colored cropped pants awesome?

2. Wizards game to see Jimmer. aka, BYU alumni night. It was great. 

3. Also Sam and Quinn were in town visiting. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to prove it...

Future Bffs.

My roommate Kim's older sister and my older sister were also roommates for several years in college.

(That's how Kim and I became friends!)

They both seem to be on the same life schedule.

They both started dating their now husbands at the same time (their first dates were on the same night!)

They also had their first kids 2 months apart this fall.

When Katie was in town visiting, we obviously all had to get together and introduce the babes to each other!

(Since they are going to best friends of course!)

We had so much fun visiting, snapping pictures and eating some Cafe Rio.

 

 Little Tank has got skills. Already balancing...

Carter's skills pretty much include sticking everything he sees in his mouth.

The day was not sans meltdown. We had to take a moment to capture...

Middleburg.

My sister and nephew were in town for 10 days, and it was heaven.

I loved getting my sister hooked on Downton Abbey, Scramble with friends and photoshop.

It made for a fantastic weekend.

On Saturday we took off to Middleburg, VA. 

I just love the Virginia countryside. It's so beautiful and quite. No traffic. 

Yet it's so close (only an hour away!)

I went out there a couple of months ago, but my mom and I had to go back with Katie and co. 

I fell in love with a Boutique, Lou Lou. I wanted everything in store. 

I may have to go back soon...

This little guy has started to suck his thumb (against mother's wishes).

How can you get mad at him, when he looks so cute!?
